From US/LEAP: Finding ways to help embattled Columbian unionists.

In Colombia, the situation for trade unionists is dire.

~ More trade unionists are killed in Colombia than in all other countries combined;

~ Violence against trade unionists has been increasing; and
~ Impunity is near total

US/LEAP is joining with a growing number of groups to respond to the violence and impunity that plagues the Colombian trade union movement. U.S. aid, trade, and investment with Colombia offer several points of leverage for people in the U.S. appalled at the level of violence against workers in Colombia.

Get involved in the Coca-Cola campaign.

Support the International Union of Foodworkers campaign and write to President Pastrana to call for an end to impunity enjoyed by the killers of banana trade union leaders targeted in Colombia.
